Our portfolios are managed collegially, by teams of portfolio managers (in contrast to firms that
list a team of many individuals but, in reality, leave investment selection to one person).
Whether long-term veterans at Ashfield Capital Partners or recent hires, all members of the team are involved in
both analysis and security selection. This total immersion shortens the learning curve, so that new
team members more quickly become masters of our time-tested process, even as they contribute new
ideas. Thus, our investment process, though based on unchanging core beliefs, is not a static skill
set but an evolving body of knowledge and insight, created by the interaction between long experience
